Project Description:
Iman lives in the Syrian camps, and she is a
mother of three orphans. They live in a small scattered tent that does not
accommodate them in the summer heat or the winter cold. They do not have a
source of income and they do not have their daily food. They eat leftover food
in containers that are no longer enough for everyone.
The children are starving.. The mother has no power.. She tries to give them patience by placing a pot of water on the wood and pretending that she is cooking the food.... She waits for them to sleep until the food is prepared.. The children sleep and wake up and the food is not ready yet...
Project Significance:
Most of the camp residents in northern Syria depend on
primitive heating materials, which are unusable because of their danger, since
the tents are made of cloth, which helps in the outbreak of large fires that
may spread to large parts of the camp, which caused the death and injury of
dozens of children and women.
They also depend on old clothes and coal, in addition to old
gas and kerosene heaters in the heating process, due to their low price
compared to diesel fuel and safe heaters.
This happens because they are unable to afford proper heating materials due to the extreme poverty they suffer from in these camps.
Need and financial study:
Furniture for the tent to be habitable: $200.
Appropriate heating materials: $300.
Winter clothing for 9 family members: 450 dollars.
1 charcoal fireplace: 50 dollars.
A little from you means a
lot to them. Contribute even a dollar
